Privacy notice

This website, adkasai.com, is run by AdKasai ("we"), based in Accra, Ghana. We decide how your personal data is used, so we're responsible for it under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

This notice covers the website, the waiting list and the contact forms. The AdKasai app has its own privacy notice, shown when you sign up.

When you join the waiting list:

• your email address (required)
• your business name (required)
• if you add them: business type, city or town, what you'd advertise first, and the language for your ads
• whether you ticked the updates box, with the exact wording and its date
• which page you joined from, and the referral code of the friend who shared their link, if any

When you use the contact or agency form: your name, your email, your message, and for agencies the number of clients you make ads for.

When you visit any page: like every website, our host receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. When you send a form, a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) looks at signals from your browser to tell people from spam robots.

We don't ask for, and please don't send, ID numbers, payment details or health information through these forms.

• To tell you when AdKasai launches and invite you to try it, by email. You asked to join, so this is what you signed up for.
• To give you your 50 launch credits when you sign up for AdKasai with the same email.
• To send you updates about AdKasai before launch, only if you ticked the box. You can stop them anytime.
• To answer your message, if you used the contact or agency form.
• To keep the site safe: to block spam, abuse and attacks. That's our legitimate interest.
• To understand what's working, as counts of visits with no cookies and no personal profile, and only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner.

We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you.

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service, under their data-processing terms:

• Vercel (USA): hosts the website and keeps short-lived server logs.
• Cloudflare (USA): runs our domain, the Turnstile bot check, and forwards email sent to hello@adkasai.com.
• Formspree (USA): stores the waiting-list and contact form submissions and emails them to us.
• Google (USA): our email inbox (Gmail), where forwarded messages arrive.
• Resend (USA): sends the emails we write to you from @adkasai.com.
• Plausible Analytics (EU): cookieless visit counts, only if we switch it on and you accept.

We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our users or AdKasai from fraud or harm.

Some of these services store data outside Ghana, mainly in the United States and the European Union. We choose providers that protect data under contract and with security standards that are at least as strong as Ghanaian law requires.

• Waiting list: until 12 months after AdKasai launches, then deleted. If you sign up, the app's privacy notice takes over.
• Contact and agency messages: up to 24 months after our last reply.
• Server and security logs: as long as our providers keep them, usually days to a few weeks.

If you ask us to delete your details, we do it within 30 days.

The site is served only over HTTPS. Form data goes straight from our server to Formspree. Access to the submissions is limited to the AdKasai team, and our accounts use two-factor sign-in.

Under the Data Protection Act, you can:

• ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy
• ask us to correct it
• ask us to delete it, or to stop using it
• stop updates at any time, with the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by writing to us
• complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.org.gh)

To use any of these rights, write to hello@adkasai.com from the email you used. We reply within 21 days. We may ask you to confirm it's you.

AdKasai is for businesses. The waiting list and forms are for people aged 18 or older, and we don't knowingly collect children's data.

If we change how we use your data, we update this page and its date. If the change matters to you, for example a new use of your data, we email you first.
